Our Program

Educational Programs

Where present meets future.
At Keep Pensacola Beautiful, we believe it’s important to actively pursue a sustainable lifestyle and teach that philosophy to others. We have two hands-on educational programs that focus on environmental awareness and preservation with activities for K-8th and our high school service-learning and leadership program.

Activities for K-8th Grade Students

Keep Pensacola Beautiful staff provide programs designed to educate students about waste, recycling and other environmental concerns. These programs were selected and tailored for our community by Keep Pensacola Beautiful, in coordination with experienced teachers to fit into increasing educational standards and optimize S.T.E.A.M. learning objectives. Youth Advocacy Council

Activities for High School Age Students

The Youth Advocacy Council replaced the Youth Advisory Council. The Youth Advocacy Council provides an opportunity for Escambia County High School students to not only earn service-learning hours, but also lead programs in their high schools aimed at sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Students from each high school in Escambia County will be recruited to advocate for environmental initiatives in their schools and surrounding community. This can include things such as campus and neighborhood cleanups, as well as the development of community gardens.

Youth advocates will be an extension of the programs provided by Keep Pensacola Beautiful and will be a critical component of our programs in the future. We are currently looking for students who are interested in participating in the 2023-2024 school year.
