As our organization grows, KPB is making the necessary and significant commitment to improve our position within the community.
Because of the efforts of KPB, Escambia County is a more beautiful place to live, work, and play. Now, it’s KPB’s turn–We are putting down roots! After decades of renting office space, we are ready to find our permanent home so that we can continue to grow our impact for our community.
Over the past year alone, we have provided emergency roadside litter removal service to the county, stepped in to provide a zero-waste event bar service called Sustain-A-Beer, implemented a Youth Advisory Council for high school students to carry out their own community project, and conducted our first-ever kayak cleanup at Big Lagoon State Park to remove hurricane Sally debris–and that’s just the new stuff!
Year after year, KPB has continued to provide exceptional volunteer experiences from planting trees, to picking up hundreds of thousands of pounds of litter each year, to giving community buildings a face-lift with a new coat of paint. We do all of this because our community is worth it!
